Welcome to Online Giving!

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the mission and ministry of the Western North Dakota Synod. It is the gifts of our hands, feet, voices, and financial resources that enable God’s work to happen through this church. As we live out our faith as stewards of all that God has blessed us with, we offer multiple ways for you to prayerfully support the ministry of our synod – individually and as a congregation.

2023 Annual Appeal

Grace and peace to you from our Savior Jesus the Christ!

Near the end of the gospel according to Saint Luke, Jesus says to his disciples “You are witnesses to these things.” (Luke 24:48). As Jesus’ disciples in this time and place, you and I are witnesses to these things. We are witnesses to the good news of the savior of the world. My colleague, Bishop Craig Satterlee says, “Our encounters with Jesus may not be as miraculous or spectacular as those of the disciples in Luke 24, but we have experiences of Jesus, nonetheless.” (You are Witnesses of These Things: Sharing the Story of Jesus, pg. 36)

For many years, the fall of the year in the Western North Dakota Synod has included a celebration called the Annual Appeal. It is a chance for sisters and brothers in Christ across our synod to offer a financial gift to God’s mission and ministry through the synod that is above and beyond local congregational mission support. It is a chance for us to dream a little about what God is doing and how God may be challenging us to step out in faith in new ways as we witness to the good news of Jesus.

This year’s Annual Appeal will assist the synod in developing a new position on the synod staff team. The Associate to the Bishop for Communications, Digital Ministry, and Events will provide tools, resources, and opportunities to witness to Jesus through print media, social media, and events in ways that we’ve never been able to do before. This new staff leader will be able to assist congregations and synod ministries with graphic design; help them faithfully navigate digital worlds like the internet, livestreaming, and social media; and ensure that all synod events like Synod Assembly, lay leadership trainings, and rostered minister gatherings are held with attention to how these events will bless our shared witness to Jesus wherever God sends us.

Our goal for our 2023 Annual Appeal is $30,000.

Thank you for prayerfully considering a financial gift that will directly support the ministry and mission of the Western North Dakota Synod. Follow this link to give online and select Annual Appeal Synod to make your gift to the Annual Appeal!

Congregational Giving

Congregational Mission Support is a portion of a congregation’s weekly financial offering that is shared with the synod. Mission Support blesses God’s work happening across our synod and in every corner of the world. Mission Support is the most important part of financial support to our synod’s mission and ministry. Simply stated, without Congregational Mission Support, the Western North Dakota Synod would cease to exist.

To send Congregation Mission Support to Synod, please use the fillable form.

Note you may put your congregation details in the first section and they will populate in the lower sections. “Save As” with your information for future printing needs.

The synod Fiscal year runs from Feb 1 to Jan 31. Contact Matthew for help or with related questions.
