Friends and neighbors of Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck, are invited to an Open House in the newly refurbished chapel in the skilled care facility, located at 2425 Hillview Ave. in Bismarck. You are invited to gather for worship and fellowship on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 2:15 p.m. New waterworks and a dance floor are now front-and-center in the care center’s multi-use chapel. The need for new carpet prompted the large room’s renovation.
The lions’ share of the funding for these improvements comes from the generosity of donors who give for special projects or equipment that will directly benefit the 255 residents in skilled care or tenants in the 64 apartments at Valley View Heights Assisted Living Apartments. Such projects and equipment are outside the regular budget of the care center. Many of these donations come from the seven member congregations of the care center, which are all ELCA congregations in Bismarck: Church of the Cross, Faith, First, Good Shepherd , House of Prayer, Lord of Life and Trinity. Any questions about the chapel Open House or about giving a gift of money for this ministry, please call or text Pastor Rebecca Aardahl at (701) 390-4519. She is the full-time Chaplain there.
