Christians from across Western North Dakota are invited to gather at the Bismarck Civic Center Sunday, October 29, 2017 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation. A Festival Worship is planned for 11:00AM at the Bismarck Civic Center to commemorate this historic event and pray for God’s guidance as we seek to be faithful, Christ centered witnesses into the future.
Rev. Mark Narum, who serves as Bishop of the Western North Dakota Synod says, “This is a once in a life time event for most of us. I encourage all congregations across the synod to consider making this their Sunday morning worship for this one Sunday.” Bishop Narum went on to say, “It is not often that we get a chance to come together and provide a united Lutheran witness to God’s grace, love and mercy which comes to us through the risen Christ.”
Teams are at work now planning the festival worship service. Included in the day will be choirs and bells performing glorious music. Holy Communion will be celebrated this day. Plan now for your congregation to attend and participate.
The service will be broadcast on the BEK television channel and available to live stream at the following link: https://www.bektel.com/bbn/streaming/bek-prime-western/
